Our omega-3 supplement. 100% salmon oil from Norwegian farmed salmon. An extra supplement of omega-3 may be beneficial to dogs suffering from a dull coat, itching, joint problems, or as a flavour enhancer for fussy eaters.
Dosage: 5ml per 10kg body weight, corresponding to approximately half a tablespoon per day.
Omega-3 fatty acids — specifically EPA and DHA from fish oil — are among the most researched and widely recommended supplements in canine nutrition. Unlike plant-based omega-3 sources (flaxseed, chia), fish oil delivers EPA and DHA in a form dogs can use directly, without the conversion step that many dogs perform inefficiently.
The benefits are well-documented: improved coat condition and skin barrier function, reduced inflammation in joints, support for cardiovascular health, and cognitive function in older dogs. For dogs already on a high-fish food like Nautical Living, the oil provides an additional concentrated boost. For dogs on chicken or lamb-based recipes, it fills the omega-3 gap those proteins don't provide.
Essential Omega 3 Oil is sourced from Norwegian farmed salmon and cold-pressed to preserve the natural EPA and DHA content. Cold-pressing avoids the heat that degrades omega-3 fatty acids during standard extraction, resulting in a more potent, fresh-tasting oil your dog will actually eat.
Dogs with a dull or dry coat, excessive shedding, itchy skin, stiff joints (particularly senior dogs), or those who are simply fussy eaters will benefit most. It can be added to any wet or dry food and is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
